Julia enjoys long-standing relationships with clients in the financial services sector, across the UK and internationally, working with established, challenger and new entrant financial services brands to strengthen their boards and senior leadership teams. She combines breadth and depth of expertise across the sector, spanning banking, building societies, insurance, wealth management, pensions and fintech.
Boards rely on Julia for recruitment of non-executive directors, chairs and C-suite appointments across all functional disciplines, including chief executive officers and notably chief financial officers, where her functional depth is highly regarded. A qualified Hogan assessor, Julia also supports boards with the assessment of executive and ‘up and coming’ talent, including internal candidates.
Julia has built an impressive network of senior contacts across the financial services sector, including clients, candidates, regulators, and advisors. She has a reputation for building long-term relationships based on trust and transparency, but also infused with her characteristic warmth and candor. She is a passionate champion of diversity and committed to the key role Warren Partners plays in helping clients build balanced and diverse high performing boards.
Julia began her career in resourcing with a FTSE 100 plc before setting up her own finance specialist recruitment business which she ran for eight years. Following the sale of her business, Julia became a Partner of a boutique search firm before joining Warren Partners in 2014.
At Warren Partners, Julia is one of our qualified Mental Health First Aiders and an advocate for wellbeing. She knows that to thrive at work her time away is important, taking time for reformer pilates, cycling, running, skiing, and spending time with her young family including, Jock and Bonnie her border terriers. Julia also enjoys her role as an Interview Coach for Smart Works, a charity that helps unemployed women to dress and prepare for interview.
